What is the Digital Life Score?
The Digital Life Score is a score out of 100 from Digital Life Check’s free questionnaire about everyday digital habits: passwords, two-step verification, accounts, devices, software updates, backups, privacy, Wi-Fi, scams, family safety and travel. It takes about five minutes and ends with a list of important actions, things worth improving and what you are already doing well.
How is the Digital Life Score worked out?
The Digital Life Score is the weighted share of available points across the questions you answered. Each answer earns none, some or all of its question’s points, and questions that matter more, such as protecting your main email account, carry more weight. Answers of “not applicable” are left out rather than counted for or against you, and the same answers always give the same score.
Are my answers to the Digital Life Check sent anywhere?
No. Digital Life Check’s questionnaire runs in your browser, and your individual answers are not sent, saved or put in the web address. Digital Life Check records only that a check was started and completed, with the final score and its band.
Is the Digital Life Score a security audit of my devices?
No. The Digital Life Score reflects your own answers about everyday habits. Digital Life Check does not scan or connect to your phone, computer or accounts, so the score is a guide to what to fix first, not a technical audit.
